do!  This book is in a question/answer format- so it is easy to get your
most burning questions about clicker training answered.
THE OTHER END OF THE LEASH - WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO AROUND DOGS  by Patricia McConnell
Dr. McConnell is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist with a PhD. in
Ethology.  This book is consistently named as one of the best books in
dog training.  It looks at how humans interact with their dogs.  You will
learn things you never knew were important to your dog and your dog will
love and thank you for it.  
CULTURE CLASH by Jean Donaldson
Dogs have their very own culture and just like a human taken out of their
own culture and transplanted into another, misunderstandings are bound
to happen.  The Culture Clash is a landmark book in positive dog training.  
This book should be mandatory reading for anyone who has a dog or ever

BEFORE & AFTER GETTING YOUR PUPPY - THE POSITIVE APPROACH TO RAISING A HAPPY, HEALTHY AND WELL-BEHAVED DOG by Ian Dunbar

dogs are communicating is peaceful intent and conflict resolution.  She
named these signals "Calming Signals".  Learn how you can do some of
these calming signals to your own dog to help him calm down without
training or punishment.

Dogs speak with their bodies.  Much of what they say is completely lost in
translation to their human family members.  This guide is like having a

The gold standard for learning canine body language, this DVD is a
recording of one of Sarah Kalnajs' seminars.  Crystal Saling says " I was
